I have posted some pictures I took while working for PCL Construction at Ted Stevens International Airport in Anchorage, AK. The scanning project was part of a large remodeling of the public areas as well as the baggage facility that Scanworks was part of in January 2008. I was surprised to learn that the winters in Anchorage are actually milder than the average winters of Chicago and Minneapolis. The project was a great success and the guys at PCL were the kind of clients that you don’t mind going the extra mile for. I stayed in downtown Anchorage while working on the project where unbelievably moose roamed the sidewalks of the city. I was told while I was there that there are between 500-800 moose hanging out within the city limits during the winter months…..amazing. F Street Station was a nice restaurant I found downtown. This place offers a great opportunity to sample the local seafood, the halibut sandwich was awesome. I hope to return to Anchorage again for another project in the near future.
