Airport Baggage-Handling System Obstruction Analysis - Case Study

Progression of images from Photo of the site, to Scan of the Site, to overlay of the new design onto scan data (from left to right).

Overlay of the design drawings on the scan as-built. Over 40 obstructions and misalignments were found within this project. These design challenges would not have been addressed until the equipment was manufactured and ready to install. At which time, the cost to correct these problems more than doubles.

Detail of an HVAC system that was believed to be in the way of a new conveyor. Coordination of potential problems can now be resolved at the beginning of the project rather than during.
