In April 2010, I descended on the Big Apple (aka New York City) for a scanning project at the United Nations Building for Skanska. The UN building is currently undergoing a major renovation and we are glad that Skanska has chosen Scanworks to give them a hand with the scanning processes they need.

Hi,
I have posted some pictures I took while working for PCL Construction at Ted Stevens International Airport in Anchorage, AK. The scanning project was part of a large remodeling of the public areas as well as the baggage facility that Scanworks was part of in January 2008. I was surprised to learn that the winters in Anchorage are actually milder than the average winters of Chicago and Minneapolis. The project was a great success and the guys at PCL were the kind of clients that you don’t mind going the extra mile for.

Early in 2008, we did a project in Philadelphia that encompassed two existing terminals and a new building that will connect them. This gave me the opportunity over a weekend to take in some of the many sights of this unique city. I went downtown to 3rd and South and stopped at Jon’s Bar and Grille, whose claim to fame is that Larry Fine of The Three Stooges was born there in 1902. The renovated home is now a nice place to stop and have lunch or a “cool beverage”.
